Never Alone With Addictions

This is a partnership with the Nicola Valley Shelter and Support Society, the Community Action Initiative, and the City of Merritt to help address the gap in services including after hours and on weekends.

The program aims to reduce the harms associated with substance use including overdose by social stabilization, cultural safety and humility, and improving harm reduction awareness by creating stigma reducing dialogue within the community.

This will be achieved by:

• Establishing a multi-stakeholder network

• Hiring Peer Navigators

• Offering wrap-around support

• Developing resource took kits

• And encouraging community dialogue

If you are looking for any supports we recommend that you also search Pathways/Merritt Branch

  • the Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions
  • the Overdose Emergency Response Centre
