Community Shelter
Our dedicated team works hard to offer Merritt’s Community Shelter.
With the help of BC Housing and Interior Health the shelter is playing an important role in Merritt’s planned response to the COVID-19 pandemic for those without housing.
Services include daily meals, showers, beds, and storage lockers.
Our shelter has grown from a fully volunteer operated program that began in 2012 to now further assisting our community through offering employment for those willing to work in this sometimes challenging but rewarding field.
This shelter is made possible through funding provided by the Government of British Columbia through BC Housing as well as local donations and community support.
